The molecular weight of glycerol monostearate (GMS), an industrial-grade substance, is 358.57 g/mol. It is frequently employed as a processing aid in a variety of industrial applications, such as the plastics sector. GMS has a distinct, non-specific fragrance and melts between 55 and 60oC. As an emulsifier, it enhances the stability and texture of products. GMS usually comes in moisture-resistant containers and has a one-year shelf life.
